All refund requests are subject to review by the Focusing and Expressive Arts Institute Training Director. Please see the policy regarding your specific offering’s category below. To make a refund request, please email [email protected].

FOAT® Training Program Courses (Levels 1 - 5): 

• Requests made 21 days or more before the registration deadline for a given course, you will be given a full refund of of your registration fee (minus administrative/transactional fees– vary based on course cost and your regional tax), or the option to apply the full registration fee as credit towards your account for future program costs. 
• Requests made between 7 to 20 days before the registration deadline will be given a refund of 50% of your registration fee, or the option to apply the full registration fee as credit towards your account for future program costs. 
• Any requests made within 6 days or less before the registration deadline are non-refundable but you will be given the option to apply the full registration fee as credit towards your account for future program costs. 

Roots, Branches, and Wings Series: 

• Requests made 7 days before the Live Presentation date for a given offering, you will be given a full refund minus an administrative/transactional fee (varies based on your regional tax). 
• Requests made within 6 days or less before the Live Presentation date are non-refundable but you will be given the option to apply the full registration fee as credit towards your account for future program costs. 
• For requests made for the Recording of the Presentation only (when you register after the Live Presentation date), please see the "Online or Self-Study Course" terms below.
  

Online or Self-Study Course: 

• Requests within 7 days after your initial enrollment may be eligible for a refund:
  • Refunds will only be granted to participants who have not made sufficient course completion progress (acceptable range dependent on course, with an absolute maximum of up to 25% course completion). If a participant has exceeded the acceptable course completion range, the course will be non-refundable. 
• Requests made 8 or more days after initial enrollment are non-refundable.

If your request is deemed non-refundable by the terms above, you may still have the option to apply your full registration fee as credit on your account for future program costs.

Continuing Education (CE) Hours/Units:

Courses co-sponsored by outside entities (R. Cassidy Seminars and CUE Management Solutions, LLC):

Although many of our courses offer the opportunity to attain CEs, the associated CE fees and credits/certification for some courses were done through our co-sponsors, R. Cassidy Seminars and CUE Management Solutions, LLC. Please refer to their policies for information regarding cancellations and refunds. The Focusing and Expressive Arts Institute does not have the power to grant refunds or credits for CEs in place of these entities. 

Courses approved for NBCC credit through the Focusing and Expressive Arts Institute ACEP:

On July 25, 2024, the Focusing and Expressive Arts Institute was approved by the NBCC as an ACEP (#7596). For courses that specify this particular CE approval, the refund policy is as follows: Requests made prior to the creation of the CE Certificate, will be granted in full, minus an administrative/transactional fee (varies based on CE cost and your regional tax), Please note this refund is specific to the CE cost only, see above policy regarding course refunds. Requests made after the creation of a CE Certificate are non-refundable. 

Other Courses:

If requests are made 7 days before the registration deadline, refunds will be given for the full registration amount minus an administrative/transactional fee (varies based on course costs and your regional tax). Requests made within 6 days or less before the registration deadline are non-refundable but you will be given the option to apply the full registration fee as credit towards your account for future program costs.

The Focusing and Expressive Arts Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an offering for insufficient enrollment (to be determined by its registration deadline) or for extenuating circumstances. In such cases, you will be contacted via your FOAT Online School account email with the options of: full reimbursement of your registration fee, or applying it as credit towards your account for future program costs.
